What is First Church?

First Church is a United Methodist community committed to living out the Christian faith through prayer, worship, giving, and sharing our faith in Christ in verbal ways as well as through service and mission.  The cornerstone ministries of First Church are Worship, Christian Education, Small Groups and Missions.

Our goal in all of this is to:

• help people connect with God and discover the life-transforming power of the grace that comes to those who follow Jesus.
• provide opportunities to learn about and grow in our understanding of the faith as taught in the Bible.
• connect with others who are on the same spiritual journey to discover the purpose and meaning that comes from full devotion to Christ.
• discover and employ our individual gifts, talents and abilities so that the love, forgiveness, healing and the power to really live is communicated through us to a world that needs it so desperately
• send out in mission, growing, mature and fearless followers of Jesus to be agents of transformation in a world and with the people God cares about so deeply.
