"Hearing Him Breathe"
A mother-daughter duo will lead this year's retreat. Speaker Kandy Persall will bring our messages and her daughter Hilary Green will lead worship.
Speaker Kandy Persall
Kandy Persall and her husband, Mark, spent twenty years living as foreigners in Asia. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Texas Tech University and a Mandarin certificate from the Jin Shin Huei Language Institute of Taipei, Taiwan. She now travels to churches throughout the United States speaking at women’s conferences to help women find what they are truly hungry for.
Over the years, mentoring has been Kandy’s joy. The young women that the Lord has brought into her path, from both the East and the West have softened Kandy’s own ear to hear Truth. Now, she seeks to share with others this Truth that the Father has taught her through these encounters.
Kandy and Mark make their home in Lubbock, Texas. They are parents of two married daughters, who are vitally involved in her ministry. Their oldest daughter, Hannah, produces the graphic design for her writings and website. Hilary, their youngest, leads worship at many of Kandy’s conferences. Between the two girls, Kandy has three grandsons and another on the way.
Worship Leader Hilary Green
Growing up overseas, Hilary Green began leading worship for a small church plant in Taiwan when she was 13. As the church plant grew, so did Hilary’s guitar and worship skills. Worshiping the Lord and leading others to do so is a theme in Hilary’s life. In fact, her initial attraction to her husband, Matthew Green came as they found themselves on the same worship team.
Hilary has a passion for missions. She desires to return overseas as the Lord reveals the timing and location. For now, Hilary joins Matthew on the praise team as he leads worship at First United Methodist Church of Corpus Christi. She is also busy at home raising their son, Judah.
