Ginny Lawler
Director, First Place Mom's Day Out and Preschool
Ginny accepted the position of Director for our Mom’s Day Out and Preschool at the beginning of the '08-'09 school year. Having served as the MDO and Nursery Assistant for 18 years and Assistant Director for the First Place Mom’s Day Out and Preschool programs for the past six years she stepped into the position well prepared to direct the these ministries. Upon receiving her Early Childhood Credential she officially settled into her leadership role in the fall.
Ginny and her husband Mike have two daughters, Katie Cook and Kelly Lawler who both work in the MDO and Preschool program as well. She has three grandchildren, Jordan, and twins Jackson and Grace.
Ginny had a business background in her early career years but the call to minister to families with young children has been clear to her since early in her service began here in 1985. She loves to meet new families as they come into the various areas she has served and try to make them feel welcome and at home as they become part of our family here at First Church.
Creating a family atmosphere at our MDO and Preschool programs along with providing a loving, nurturing, Christian atmosphere for early learning continues to be Ginny’s goal as she leads the day to day operations of this ministry.
