Keva Green
Associate Pastor

Keva became one of the most recent additions to the FirstChurch staff when she came as Associate Pastor in July 2009. She served as a Methodist Minister in the United Kingdom for four years prior to coming to this area. She is delighted to be back in her home state of Texas and is thrilled to be a part of FirstChurch.
Blessed with wonderful Christian parents, Keva grew up in Winters, Texas (a small town near Abilene). She graduated from Texas A&M and Southern Methodist University with engineering degrees and worked in the telecommunications arena. Though she had a wonderful career she knew that God was calling her into the ministry and in 2001 she left her corporate position and entered Perkins School of Theology at SMU.
During her time in seminary at Perkins, Keva served as an Associate Pastor at LoversLaneUnitedMethodistChurch in Dallas. When she graduated in 2005 she felt called to go to England where there was a shortage of ministers. Her original plan was to stay for one year, but God had other plans and so she served there for the next four years preaching in Methodist churches as well as other denominations and traveling around speaking and witnessing to various organizations and groups. Keva says that it was great serving in England, but it is also really wonderful to be back in the good ole USA where people drive on the right side of the road.
She has two wonderful children: a daughter, LeeRand who lives in Houston and a son, Kevin, who recently married a precious young lady, Liz, and they reside in Colorado Springs, CO. Keva is an avid runner and also enjoys golf, skiing (water and snow), biking, and a really good book.
