Men
Men’s Ministry is available to all the men of the church, and open to men in the community. Through fellowship and accountability, relationships are shared through teachings, service projects, retreats, and small groups.
Service Projects
Fences for Orphans Project
Dates: Monday through Friday and Saturdays 2011 and 2012
A local non profit Christian organization (www.fencesfororphans.org)operates as a fence construction company. This organization is just like any other fence building company, except, as a ministry they send the profits to benefit Orphans. You can participate in helping orphans by referring customers or by providing the volunteer labor. If you know of someone who is ready to get a quote to build a fence, let them quote the job. If you want to volunteer to help in building a fence, then, they will take your labor. Either way, your help will benefit orphans overseas. You could bring your friends or your entire Sunday School class. They provide coordination of volunteers, an on site project manager and scheduling.

West Dallas Habitat Project Dates: Saturdays, Oct. 22&29, Nov. 5&19, Dec. 3 &10
The Mark Rusk family has been selected by Habitat for Humanity to receive a new house. Mark Rusk and his wife will be investing in the house by providing their own labor for construction. Their church is the West Dallas Community Church, which is only about a block from the home site. The outreach pastor of that church is Greg Jones. One of our men, Jamie Whitman, has worked with Greg on other projects. Greg has asked for help from our men to come alongside of this family in providing labor for constructing the house.
In mid October this house was framed and ready for a roof. Each week the nature of the work will change as they near completion in mid December. You should call before you go so that you will be aware of the type of work being done and coordinate your participation. You can volunteer a half day, one day or several days.
To coordinate:
Saturday work - Contact the home owner Mark Rusk at 214-634-1927 x 108 or the church outreach coordinator Greg Jones at cell 214-629-0158 / office 214-637-7741 x108
Please note that all workers must be age 16 or older
