David Platt's Radical touched my soul in many ways. First, he was displaced by Hurricane Katrina and makes several references about God providing even in the family's darkest hours. This is true faith! I also think some childhood friends now living in Birmingham, Ala., may attend his church and are enthralled by the simple message of "do something radical: to get out of the usual faith 'box.'" Rev. Platt's overseas mission trips and care for the remaining people of New Orleans and the many underserved families in Birmingham gives testimony to his living out of the principles of Radical. We all need a large dose of helping others and going beyond the usual ways of church, Sunday School, and an occasional Bible study. Radical shows us the means to live and proclaim our testimonies to the rooftops. It has been a great inspiration and spiritual pleasure to read this Holy Spirit-inspired volume.
