Richard Dunagin
Senior Pastor
Richard Dunagin became senior pastor at First Church in 2001. His goal is to lead First Church in making fully-formed disciples of Jesus Christ. His passion is creative ministry that connects with people in all ages and stages of life.
His education includes undergraduate and theology degrees from SMU and a PhD in sociology from UNT. He has authored three books: TNT (Through the New Testament), TOT (Through the Old Testament, and Beyond These Walls: Building the Church in a Built-out Neighborhood. Richard also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Asbury Theology Seminary.
Richard has been married to his wife Theresa since 1970. They are the proud parents of three grown daughters.
