First Methodist Carrollton exists to know Christ and make Christ known. We are a multigenerational, multiethnic Global Methodist Church just north of Dallas, Texas. We have a rich Wesleyan heritage and a vibrant faith in Jesus, and we're committed to spreading scriptural holiness locally and around the world. Â
We have made a deliberate decision to worship in a contemporary way, while still cherishing and integrating the historic songs, creeds, and prayers of our faith. As Global Methodists, we follow the calendar and liturgies of the Christian year. We celebrate Advent leading up to Christmas, and we journey through Lent and Holy Week before celebrating Easter. By focusing on the major events that were important in Jesus’ life, we can learn to be like Him and love God and people just as He did. We experience God’s grace together as we celebrate Holy Communion, baptism, prayer, worship, and the study of the Scriptures. We celebrate our children and youth, and they fully participate in the life of the church. In our worship services, we love to sing together, pray for each other, and be encouraged by the word of God.
We’re passionate about missions and living out the gospel. We are intentional about discipleship and helping each other grow in Christ. The community is definitely the best part of this church, and we can’t wait to get to know you and hear your story.

We believe in a God who loves and saves us through Jesus, and that the Holy Spirit helps us live like Him every day. We hold onto the Bible as our guide for life, and we celebrate God’s grace through baptism and communion, knowing He’s always at work in our lives and the world.
We are committed to loving God and loving others, and to be known for our love for one another.
We strive to glorify God through worship that is rooted in scripture, and that draws us closer to Him.
We are called to serve our community and those in need, through both physical and spiritual acts of love and kindness.
We prioritize the practice of discipling others in the faith, helping them to grow in their understanding of the Bible and their relationship with God.
We seek to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all people, and to share the gospel through both deed and word.
We seek to fulfill the Great Commission, making disciples of Jesus Christ in our region and beyond.
We seek to foster unity in diversity, standing together as a church family united in our purpose of sharing God’s love.
We strive to be a holy people, living in obedience to God’s Word and in surrender to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
We strive to be wise stewards of the resources God has given us, using them to meet the needs of the church and community.
