Missions
Making Christ known in our neighborhoods and the nations
Where Christ Is Not Known
The term missions can mean a lot of different things, but here’s a simple way to think of it. Evangelism is helping people believe in Jesus. Missions is helping people know there is a Jesus to believe in.
3.5 BILLION people around the world have no access to Jesus - no churches, no Bibles, no Christian resources, no Christians. As a church, we prioritize missions in to the unreached, taking the gospel where Christ is not yet known. But this doesn’t have to be across the globe - there are also tons of opportunities to do this in our own backyard.
At First Methodist Carrollton, we believe everyone has a role to play in sharing God’s love. And the best part? There are many ways to get involved, no matter your season of life.
Chiv & Emara In
Heart for Cambodia
After escaping the Khmer Rouge, Chiv and Emara never wanted to return to Cambodia. But when God called them to go back, they obeyed. A decade later, they have planted seven churches and baptized over 1500 people.
